  • Who can I ask for help with my existing Blue Shield account?

    Please reach out to your Blue Shield account representative or broker. If you’re not sure who to contact, use the numbers listed below.

  • How does managing monthly bills/premiums online work?

    For large groups, please contact your Blue Shield representative or broker. For Small Group Administrators, log in to Employer Connection. This employer portal can be used to manage online billing and payment capabilities like viewing your current invoice, making one-time payments, setting up a recurring payment schedule, and reviewing your payment history.

  • How can my employees find resources for their benefits, claims, and coverage?

    Members can register on blueshieldca.com to view their benefits, review claims, find a provider, and more. They can also reference their Member Guides or Evidence of Coverage (EOC).

Eligibility requirements

  • Is my organization eligible for group coverage through Blue Shield of California?

    Eligibility may vary based on your group size, headquarters location, and other factors. We recommend reaching out via our Contact Us page to speak to a Blue Shield representative for group eligibility questions. For employee eligibility questions visit our Eligibility page.

  • What is considered a small business vs. a large group?

    To qualify for small business coverage, a group must have two or more full time employees. A large group has 101+ employees.
